Sediment coring in Thurgau, Switzerland

Ein Projekt der Universität Basel und des Amts für Archäologie Thurgau (AATG) Bohrkernuntersuchungen im Thurgau

Klima, Umwelt, Mensch im Thurgau (KUMiT): Bohrkernuntersuchungen im Kanton Thurgau

The KUMiT project combines archaeology and paleoenvironmental sciences on lake sediment cores in Thurgau, Switzerland, to learn about human-land use, climate, and vegetation changes over the past few thousand years. We have made a small promotional video advertise the paleoenvironmental side of the project and the sedimentologic and fossil analyses underway at the Geoecology lab, University of Basel.

More about the project can be found on the Geoecology website and in a press release by the University of Basel (3 July 2020).
