We are very happy to invite you to Communicating Science in the Era of AI, taking place on 3 October 2026 at the ETH AI Center in Zurich, as part of the Zurich AI Festival. This is an event organized by the MCAA Swiss Chapter in collaboration with the MCAA Communication working group and the MCAA Artificial Intelligence working group.
Throughout the day, we will explore how AI is changing the way scientific knowledge is communicated and understood. We will bring together perspectives from research, industry, startups, policy and society, followed by hands-on, co-creative workshops where we will move from discussion to practice.

Communicating Science in the Era of AI – Zurich AI Festival (3 October, Zurich)
Organised by the MCAA Switzerland Chapter, Communication WG and our AI WG, part of the Zurich AI Festival, this event will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming science communication across three levels: systems, processes, and actors. Bringing together perspectives from research, industry, startups, policy, and society, the programme will combine keynotes and practical cases with hands-on, co-creative workshops. The aim is to move beyond discussing AI tools and examine how AI is reshaping communication practices, responsibilities, and relationships across the scientific ecosystem, while developing practical approaches for responsible use.
